Occupational Health Reviews

We provide a timely and professional occupational health physician review for your employees

Employees may be referred to us for a variety of reasons, including fitness for work advice, adjustments to enable staff to remain in work, sickness absence management plans, or assessment and advice during pregnancy. Other reasons may include work accidents, fitness for disciplinary, advice on the Equality Act 2010, or for those considering ill-health retirement or a pension medical.

Whatever your reasons, we provide a personal service according to individual requirements.

Sickness Absence Reviews

Sickness Absence is an expensive business, for any business

Here at COHS, we support you in managing your sickness absence effectively. We’ll help you to minimise lost time and costs and to maximise productivity. We offer a clear referral path, with information for the employer and employee beforehand.

Our doctor-led team will provide a bespoke report and can liaise with an employee’s GP or specialist for more information if required.

Mental Health Services

We provide individual counselling services for employees who would benefit from additional support

Our personal and individual services include tailored therapy to meet individual needs. As well as stress management and wellbeing checks, we can provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy, specifically for post-traumatic stress, mood and anxiety disorders.

We also provide mental health first aider training if required.

Health and Wellbeing

We offer a personal service, enabling you to support your employees’ wellbeing and health 

We aim to identify health problems before they impact on employee’s overall health and performance. Our range of services include measuring weight and blood pressure, urine testing, menopause help and advice, as well as drug and alcohol screening. We carry out vision, thyroid checks, and testing for anaemia. We can provide mental health assessments, and lifestyle and health advice and information. 

We can signpost to appropriate services, such as national cancer support and care, for further assessment and investigation if required.

Health Surveillance

We’ll support your school to ensure you meet statutory health requirements

We can provide on-site assessments appropriate to individual roles, including workstation assessments, additional support with vision and hearing tests, and Musculoskeletal problems.

Our clinicians have more than 10 years experience in the transport sector

At COHS, our expertise allows us to provide driver medicals to ensure your staff are meeting the criteria for safe driving, to protect the welfare of all pupils and staff.
